Failure to provide necessary Personal Information when requested by us, will result in you being unable to enter the Promotion competition.

How do we use your Personal Information?
We will use the Personal Information collected:
a) to enter you into the Promotion competition;
b) to allow NZTR to administer and manage the Promotion;
c) to administer any Prize and resulting ownership experience
d) for future marketing, promotional and publicity purposes, including to carry out direct marketing, market research and surveys;
e) to ensure that you are shown the information that is most relevant to you and your interests; and
f) for any other use permitted by the Privacy Act.
We may use the Device Information generated to:
a) track traffic patterns to and from the Website;
b) screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address);
c) help focus advertising to recipients; and
d) enable you to enter the Website and use certain services as a member without having to log on each time and to visit registered user only areas of the Website.
Sharing your Personal Information
We will not disclose Personal Information we collect from you other than as set out in this Privacy Policy below, as otherwise agreed by you, or as permitted under the Privacy Act.
Your Personal Information obtained by entering the Promotion competition will be shared with the following promotional partners for the purposes of the Promotion and future promotions and events:
a) Auckland Thoroughbred Racing Incorporated;
b) Auckland FC (Black Knight Football Club);
c) Auckland Blues Limited; and
d) New Zealand Warriors Limited.
Once Personal Information is disclosed to a promotion partner, that partner will handle the information in accordance with its own privacy policy , and will be independently responsible for its compliance with the Privacy Act 2020. If you do not agree to the sharing of your Personal Information with the above promotional partners, please refrain from entering the Promotion competition.
Entain New Zealand Limited - If you have expressly opted in, your Personal Information will also be shared with Entain New Zealand Limited (TAB and Betcha) for the purpose of sending you information about related products and services. Any opt-in consent may be withdrawn at any time in accordance with Entain's privacy policy.
We may also disclose to other third parties:
a) aggregate tracking information and other information that does not personally identify you;
b) your Personal Information, when we are required to do so by law; or
c) your Personal Information for other purposes as agreed by you, or as otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.
We may disclose your Personal Information to the Racing Integrity Board or any other entity to allow them to undertake their functions under the Racing Industry Act 2020 or any other racing integrity legislation.

Data Retention
Any Personal Information that you provide to us is stored in our secure database which can only be accessed by authorised users. Reasonable steps have been implemented to protect your Personal Information from interference, misuse, loss, unauthorised access, and modification.
Unless you have expressly agreed with us to retain certain information, we will not retain your Personal Information when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or otherwise required to be kept by law. You can request that we delete your Personal Information by contacting us at marketing@nztr.co.nz.
We will action your request in most cases, but may however, preserve the content of any email or Personal Information we hold if we believe we have a legal requirement or other legislative right to do so.

If there is a legal reason why we decide not to provide you with access to all or some of your Personal Information, or if we don't agree with your suggested corrections, then we will provide you with the legal grounds for our decision.
